My leadership approach is grounded in two core philosophies.
The first applies to leadership in any organization or industry and serves as the foundation of Equitas Leadership. Grounded in what I call my Words to Live and Lead By, a curated collection of leadership mantras gathered throughout my career in education and administration. These ideas aren’t flashy or revolutionary, and that’s exactly why they matter. Effective leadership doesn’t have to be complicated. At its core, it’s simple: be the leader you always wished you had.
The Words make that idea tangible. They translate leadership into clear, memorable guidance—short, practical phrases you’ll actually remember because when you hear them, your instinct is, “Of course. That just makes sense.” Rooted in common sense, they’re also easy to apply, especially when leadership gets challenging.
My second guiding philosophy is more education-focused. It grows out of one of the Words: All Means ALL (Each and Every One). It’s a bold, audacious reframing of how we define progress and success in our schools—one that challenges traditional “ambitious” goals and raises the bar for what we believe is possible. It draws on language your district probably already values, likely written into your mission statement, printed on your letterhead, and embedded in your communications.
I help leaders align their actions, systems, and culture with that mission at the deepest level. You’ll leave with renewed purpose, practical strategies, and the momentum to lead meaningful change—grounded in the founding promise of public education.
Be the changemaker your organization needs. Join me in building a movement that refocuses our systems on who they were always meant to serve: our students. Because no matter how great we may already be, our kids deserve better.
